Before treatment:

-Do not drink caffeine the day of your appointment.
-Drink lots of water! Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate, this is very important!
-If we are working on the face, please do not come in with make-up on.
-Do not tweeze, wax, thread, or epilate the area.
-Depending on your individualized treatment plan, you may shave or trim between appointments.
-Allow 1/8 of an inch of growth to be available for treatment. Usually 2- 3 days of growth, depending on how fast your hair grows.

After Treatment:

Ideal aftercare home routine – For up to 3 days after treatment AM/PM.

1. Use a gentle cleanser.
2. Apply Witch Hazel
3. Apply aloe Vera gel or triple antibiotic ointment depending on your skin.

-Do not touch, rub, or scratch the treated area.
-If you get any bumps or scabs in the treated area, do not pick at them.
-Do not exfoliate or use abrasive cleansing methods on the treated area.
-Do not apply makeup over the treated area, for 48 hours.
-Do not use old makeup (older than 3 months).
-Avoid sun exposure or tanning beds for 48 hours.
-Keep the area clean.
-No sweaty activities for 48 hours after treatment.

Please follow these instructions carefully, failure to do so may result in a cancellation of your
appointment – You will still be responsible for payment of the booked service.

Before Treatment:

Important – Shower directly before treatment. Clean the treatment area and surrounding area very well
with a washcloth, soap, and water. Additionally, you will need to use wet wipes to clean the treatment
and surrounding area after use of the restroom. This will help to prevent infection and ensure a hygienic
working area for your electrologist. This step must be taken to acquire treatment.

-Shave 2-3 days before the appointment, alternatively you can trim the day of.

During treatment, your electrologist will sometimes ask for your assistance in positioning your body to allow for better access to the treatment area. You may be asked to hold your skin back to enable the electrologist to work. Please be prepared to assist when needed.

After treatment:

You may experience these effects after treatment.

-Swelling, Bruising, Crusting, Scabbing, Redness, Inflammation, hyperpigmentation, or other skin irritations.
-Inflammation in the skin may temporarily appear as dark spots.
-In areas of dense growth, fluid discharge may occur and is typical. Allow the crust to remove on its own during cleansing. Do not pick.
